PUBLIC WORKS ROCK AFIWALL

The construction of infrastructure sometimes requires working on very steep slopes. The AFIWALL^® range offers various simple and rapid construction methods which provide a variety of solutions to complete these structures.

The AFIWALL^® Rock technology is used to design bridge abutments, retaining walls or acoustic bunds.  This solution consists of three products :

• A specifically designed reinforcing geosynthetic such as NOTEX^® C in the event of aggressive granular backfill upon installation or NOTEX^® GX and GEOTER^® F in most traditional cases
• a drainage geocomposite such as SOMTUBE^® FTF to combat water ingress in the backfill
• “box” gabions made of wire mesh filled with granular material

• A cost-effective solution consisting of 3 products supplied by AFITEXINOV for the reinforcement, facing, lining and drainage of the structure
• Construction of very high, stable structures
• Environmentally friendly solution making it possible to reuse granular material
• Gabions filled with granular material, also providing protection against fire and vandalism
• Better integration into the landscape

• Height : 0.5 m or 1 m
• Depth : 1 m or 2 m
• Various lengths : 1.5 m to 4 m
